L’Ultima Parola

This may be my new favourite thing in the history of the world ever. Liquore Strega, where have you been all my life!

And what better way to start but with a variation of another firm favourite, so this week we have the desperately Italian L’Ultima Parola, the undoubted Last Word in extreme tastiness.

2 oz Gin

1 ⅓ oz Liquore Strega

⅔ oz Maraschino Cherry

1 ⅓ oz Lime Juice

Shake everything with ice and strain into the most elegant of glasses.

This is an excellent, I’m going to make more this evening, and again for anyone who visits, ever. If you’re like Sinead and for some bizarre reason have an issue with Chartreuse then I would urge you to try this, it’s smoother, sweeter and not as twiggy as the green stuff but it adds fantastic herby complexity to a drink.

I can’t wait to try it in all manner of other cocktails, exciting times in the cabinet! Plus who would want a liquor made in the city of witches.
