hUMBLE pIE

Our first cocktail of 2024! Well we’re off to a good start with the not so humble Humble Pie, a drink that certainly packs a punch!

1oz Calvados
1oz Blended Scotch
⅙ oz Ginger Syrup
Dash of Angostura Bitters
2 Grinds Black Pepper
Splash of Pimento Dram / Allspice Liqueur if you have it.

Give everything a stir with ice and strain out into a rocks glass with a nice large chunk of ice.
Garnish with crystallised ginger if you’re feeling fancy.

As a non-whisky drinker I really liked this, the calvados softens the whole thing and the ginger and pepper give a bit of warmth.

However you would certainly only want the one, this is very much and end of the evening drink, not something to start the party with!
