Gator Bite

Well who’d have thunk it, the Gator Bite!

I was expecting this to be unpleasant and gimmicky. I had even prepared a back up negroni assuming Sinead was going to hate it and throw it in my face, how wrong I was!

1 oz Green Chartreuse

1 ½ oz Cointreau

1 oz Lime Juice

¾ oz Sugar Syrup

Shake everything with ice and fine strain into a salt rimed glass.

It shouldn’t work, it should be horrid and sweet and sickly but it’s bloody lovely with strangely rolling flavours that sneak up on you. Don’t be tempted to skip the salt, it’s all part of the bizarre cacophony of loveliness.

If you have the bits I urge you to give it a go, if you don’t, then go and buy them and then give it a go. It’s such an odd one that everyone should try!
