Five Keys

Oh it’s a good one this week!!

We both enjoyed this & I did get slightly over excited, you know both Sinead & I love a Red Hook and this variation was spot on. The slight bitter twang at the end from the Cynar made all the difference.

1 ⅓ oz Bourbon

¾ oz Red Vermouth

¼ oz Maraschino Cherry

¼ oz Cynar

Stir everything with ice and strain into a deservedly lovely glass.

This isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea, “Spirit Forward” is my new favourite phrase and it certainly applies to the Five Keys, it packs a punch but it’s definitely making it into my go to cocktail repertoire.
