So many possibilities this week something mystical, something romantic, something full of werewolves?

1 ½ oz Gin

¾ oz Triple Sec

½ oz Violette Liqueur

¼ oz Lemon Juice

¼ oz Lime Juice

The picture doesn’t do this drink justice at all, in the flesh it is a beautiful mauve, but is it more style over substance. Now don’t get me wrong I love violet, one of my absolute favourites is an Aviation, but as I reached the end of this it was getting overpowering, it is one of those flavours where a little goes a long way.

The violette and triple sec work wonderfully together and I really like the mix of lemon and lime, if only the violet weren’t quite so strong.

Will I make this again, absolutely yes, will Sinead be sick to death of violet as I make multiple versions with minute variations in the quantities and force her to drink them, also yes.
