The Martinez

 

The incandescently lovely Martinez.

Sinead & I couldn’t stop talking about it during the recording, it is a beautiful drink that just makes you smile. I was surprised how much of a difference using Genever made, it really is a very different, in my opinion better, drink than one made with gin.

2oz Genever

1oz Sweet Vermouth

¼oz Dry Vermouth

¼oz Triple Sec

Dash of angostura bitters

Stir everything over ice until deliciously chilled and serve in the smartest of glasses.

I realise that Genever is not in everyone’s cabinet and substituting gin still makes a very delicious drink, but if you fancy branching out into something different I would very much recommend!
