Beetle Jeuse

Presenting the brilliantly named Beetle Jeuse. I loved this, Sinead less so, but don’t listen to her, she doesn’t like Chartreuse, monstrous. It is very much a summery drink & the passion fruit comes through surprisingly strongly (in a good way).

Anyway, try one for yourself & let us know what you think.

1 oz Bison Grass Vodka.

1 oz Green Chartreuse.

3 ½ oz Apple Juice.

¼ oz Passion Fruit Syrup.

7 Mint Leaves.

You want to start by adding the mint leaves to your shaker and give them a good bash, muddling is the cocktailing term for it, most shaker kits will come with a wooden muddler, if not the end of a rolling pin would do, you want to rough up the leaves so the minty oils start coming out.

Add the rest of you ingredients and ice. Give the whole lot a good shake and fine strain into a tall ice filled glass. You really do need a fine strain on this one otherwise you’ll be picking bits of squished mint leaves out of your teeth all evening.

Relax in a rocking chair on your porch and contemplate how very lovely this.
