How they came up with this severing suggestion I have no idea, but give it a go! It’s fun to watch people try and drink it and it certainly starts conversation!

I usually can’t be bothered with too much prep, but in some cases it’s quite fun for a wow factor.

For the drink itself:

1 ¾ oz Brandy

½ oz Lemon Juice

¼ oz Maraschino Cherry

¼ oz Triple Sec

¼ oz Sugar Syrup

2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Take your lemon and chop the ends off, hollow out the flesh and keep aside to juice for the drink. Wedge the lemon skin tunnel into a flute glass, you’ll need to pick smallish lemons to make sure you have a good fit. Coat the join between the glass & lemon with sugar syrup and sprinkle with sugar. Pop the glass in the fridge for 10 minutes to set and then repeat until you have a nice sugar crust coating the glass & lemon.

Shake everything else with ice and strain into your carefully prepared glass.

It’s not going to be elegant but it is going to be fun!
